Gas BBQs
There are three things to look for in a gas grill.
- Even heat. You must have burners spaced evenly across the grill so your food cooks without hot and cold spots. The burners should be far enough below the cooking grates so you can control the heat. Too close and you will always cook on high.
- Easy to clean. The burners need to be protected with some type of flavor bars so the burner is protected from food drippings. A drip tray is a must to catch those drippings in the bottom of the grill. It is much easier to clean flavor bars than numerous ceramic bricks or lava rocks.
- Replacement parts. American made grills offer factory supplied parts. The parts are available year round, not seasonally. When you buy an over seas BBQ, parts are usually not available. You must buy universal parts that may or may not fit.
